TandemPartners ("we", "us", the "Service") is an online platform that helps people find language-exchange ("tandem") partners. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service lets you create a public profile describing the languages you speak and want to learn, discover other members, and exchange messages. We provide the platform "as is" and do not guarantee that you will find a suitable partner.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these terms.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
You keep ownership of the text and images you upload, and you grant us the right to display and distribute them as described in Section 6. You agree not to:
Your profile — including your first name, city, languages, description, and profile picture — is publicly visible on the Service. We may also publish a profile card containing your first name, languages, and picture on our official social-media pages (including Facebook) to promote the community. When you delete or disable your account, we remove the associated social-media post that we created.
Members can send you messages through the Service, and we may notify you of new messages by email. Be respectful; abusive messaging may lead to suspension.
To improve readability, your self-description may be rewritten and translated using an automated (AI) service. You can edit the generated text at any time from your profile.
You may disable or permanently delete your account at any time from the Account tab. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the conduct of other members, or for content they provide. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.
